But insiders have come forward on socials painting a far darker picture: cherished devs, including one who's been there since the 'Ready Up' screen of Apex's launch, got the boot, replaced by AI's cold, calculating algorithms all in the name of profit, with EA's CEO dreaming of a 30% micro-transaction revenue boost. 

And if you think it stops at gaming, think again. Meet Devin, not your average coder but an AI that's hustling on Upwork, and completing paid software engineering jobs completely undetected by the humans who ended up hiring it. Or the Figure 1 chatgpt enabled humanoid robot, so human capable, it's a potential threat to all service jobs. 

These advancements in Generative AI are more dangerous to the job market than it might seem on the surface. It marks a shift towards dynamic roles being replaced by AI. Previously the AI functions in the job market were focused on roles that followed templates which are repetitive in nature, easy to follow and replicate, such as customer service. These advancements can now target dynamic roles.
